As a maternity and family photographer, I’m always drawn to the in-between moments—the quiet anticipation, the natural connection, the way you instinctively hold your growing belly. Those subtle, genuine moments are what make this time so meaningful.

When you look back at your maternity portraits, I want you to feel it all again—the little kicks in your tummy, the excitement, and the anticipation of welcoming a new life into your world and your family.

Every session is a chance to slow down and document this chapter before everything changes. My goal is to create images that not only feel beautiful now, but bring you right back to this moment years from now.

FAQ

When should I book my maternity session?

The ideal time for maternity photos is between 30–34 weeks, when your baby bump has a beautiful, round shape and you’re still comfortable enough to move and enjoy your session.

I recommend reserving your session early in your second trimester so we can plan ahead for that perfect window.

Every pregnancy is unique, and I’ll work with you to create a session that feels relaxed, flattering, and true to you.

What should I wear for my maternity session?

I recommend choosing outfits that highlight your baby bump while still feeling comfortable and natural to you. Fitted gowns and soft, neutral tones photograph beautifully and really showcase your shape.

I also offer a selection of fitted, stretchy maternity gowns available to use during your studio session.

I suggest avoiding flowy or loose dresses, as they can make you look heavier and don’t showcase your belly as well. Busy patterns can have a similar effect and can be distracting in your images.

Once you book your session, I’m happy to help with outfit suggestions so everything feels cohesive and flattering.

Can my partner, children, or pets be included?

Absolutely. Maternity sessions are a wonderful way to document this time for your entire family. Partners, children, and even pets are always welcome to be part of your session—both in the studio and outdoors.

Where will my maternity session take place?

Sessions can take place in my Sudbury studio or at a beautiful outdoor location in the MetroWest area. I’m happy to help you choose a setting that fits your style—whether that’s a natural outdoor backdrop or a clean, timeless studio look. I do travel to beach and other Boston areas as well. Please inquire about travel fees for specific locations.

How long is a maternity session?

Maternity sessions typically last between 30 minutes to 1 hour, depending on the type of session you book. Shorter sessions are perfect for a simple, focused set of images, while longer sessions allow for more variety in poses, outfits, and overall looks.

When will I see my images?

Your images will be ready to view in a private online gallery approximately 14–17 days after your session. From there, you’ll be able to select your favorites and place your order.

Do you offer maternity and newborn sessions?

Yes, many families choose to document both maternity and newborn sessions. I’m happy to help you plan ahead so everything flows seamlessly and you don’t miss a moment of this special time.

I recommend booking your newborn session while you’re still pregnant to ensure a spot on my studio calendar. Newborns are typically photographed between 10–17 days old, but I understand that babies arrive on their own timeline-sometimes early, sometimes late. We’ll plan a tentative date and then adjust it once your baby arrives to best fit their birth date.
