Whether you're newly engaged, recently married, celebrating an anniversary, or simply want to capture this chapter of your lives together, my couples photography sessions are designed to be relaxed, fun, and meaningful. I'll guide you through natural posing while also looking for the genuine moments in between—the laughter, the glances, the hand-holding, and the connection that makes your relationship unique.

These sessions typically take place outdoors and on location, whether that's a favorite beach, a park you love, the place where you got engaged, or somewhere completely new that you've always wanted to explore together. If you'd prefer a studio setting, I'm also happy to create portraits of the two of you in my Sudbury, Massachusetts studio.

Whether you're newly engaged, recently married, or have spent years building a life together, it's easy to let the days turn into years without ever stepping in front of the camera together. Life moves quickly, and every chapter of your story deserves to be remembered.

Whether you're celebrating a new beginning, a milestone anniversary, or simply the life you've built together, couples portraits are an opportunity to press pause and document this chapter of your story. These photographs become a reminder of the love, laughter, friendship, and partnership that have carried you through the years.

When you look back at these images, I want you to remember not only what you looked like, but also the way you looked into one another's eyes, the laughter you shared, and how it felt to be together during this season of your lives.

FAQ

When should I book a couples photography session?

I recommend booking your couples photography session at least 2–4 weeks in advance. Spring, summer, and fall weekends tend to fill quickly, so booking 6–8 weeks in advance is often the best way to secure your preferred date and location.

If you're planning an engagement announcement, save-the-date cards, wedding invitations, an anniversary celebration, or another special occasion, I recommend scheduling your session early enough to allow time for viewing your gallery, selecting your favorites, and receiving your finished images and portraits.

What should we wear?

I recommend choosing outfits that reflect your personalities and make you feel comfortable and confident. The most important thing is that your clothing complements one another without matching exactly. Coordinating colors and styles tend to photograph much more naturally than identical outfits.

Soft neutrals, earth tones, and classic colors photograph beautifully in most outdoor locations. Avoid large logos, busy patterns, and clothing that may distract from the connection between the two of you.

Can children and pets be included?

Absolutely! Children and well-behaved pets are welcome to be part of your couples photography session. Many couples choose to include their children or pets for a portion of the session and then spend the rest of the time focusing on portraits of just the two of them.

Whether you're celebrating a new engagement, an anniversary, or simply the life you've built together, including the people (and pets!) you love can help tell a more complete story of this chapter in your lives.

What happens if it rains?

If it rains on the day of your session, we'll simply reschedule for another day that works well for both of our schedules. If the weather is unusually hot, cold, windy, or otherwise uncomfortable, I may also recommend rescheduling.

That said, a little drizzle and an umbrella can sometimes create unique, romantic, and memorable photographs. If the weather is only lightly misting and you're open to it, we can always discuss whether you'd like to embrace the moment.

When will I see my images?

Your images will be ready to view in a private online gallery approximately 14–17 days after your session. From there, you’ll be able to select your favorites and place your order.
