High School Seniors—Celebrating Who You Are

More Than Just a Photo—A Milestone Worth Remembering

A senior portrait session is about so much more than a yearbook photo. In fact, some schools don't even allow students to use their own senior portraits in the yearbook (boo!). This session is for you and your family—a chance to celebrate everything you've accomplished and this exciting milestone before the next chapter begins.

My senior sessions are relaxed, fun, and designed to tell your story. I'll guide you through flattering poses while capturing the genuine smiles, confidence, and personality that make you who you are. Whether your story includes a favorite sport, musical instrument, artwork, a beloved pet, your horse, truck or car, a trip to the beach, or even your airplane (yes, I've photographed a senior with their plane!), I love creating portraits that reflect your interests and passions.

Years from now, I want these photographs to remind you not only what you looked like as a senior, but also who you were at this moment in your life and all the possibilities that lay ahead.

High School Seniors—More Than a Graduation Portrait

Senior sitting in front of a small airplane on a wet tarmac at Norwood airport

Senior year is filled with milestones, memories, and anticipation for what comes next. My high school senior portrait sessions in Framingham, Massachusetts and throughout the Boston and MetroWest area are designed to celebrate this exciting chapter while creating portraits that reflect who you are right now.

Whether we're creating images in my studio, at the beach, in the city, or at a location that has special meaning to you, my goal is to capture both the confidence and personality that make you unique. These portraits are about more than graduation—they're about celebrating your accomplishments, your interests, and the journey that brought you here.

When you look back at these photographs years from now, I want you to remember not only what you looked like as a senior, but also the excitement, dreams, and possibilities that were waiting just ahead as you prepared for your next adventure.

FAQ

When should I book my high school senior photography session?

I recommend booking your senior portrait session at least 2–4 weeks in advance, especially during the busy spring and summer seasons. Fall is also a popular time for senior portraits, and many families book 6–8 weeks in advance to secure their preferred date.

If your school has deadlines for yearbook submissions, graduation announcements, or senior recognition ads, be sure to check those dates before scheduling. I recommend booking your session at least 5 weeks before any yearbook deadline to allow time for your session, gallery delivery, image selection, and any files that need to be submitted to your school. Many families choose to schedule senior portraits during the summer before senior year or early in the fall to avoid missing important deadlines and to enjoy the widest selection of dates.

What should I wear?

I recommend choosing clothing that reflects your personality, interests, and style. Whether your look is casual, athletic, artistic, classic, or somewhere in between, your senior portraits should feel authentic to who you are. Solid colors and subtle patterns tend to photograph best, and it's always a good idea to choose outfits that fit well and make you feel confident.

Don't forget about shoes and accessories. Shoes are often visible in portraits, so be sure they coordinate with your outfit and are clean and comfortable. If you'd like to incorporate a letter jacket, sports uniform, musical instrument, artwork, cap and gown, or other meaningful items, I encourage you to bring them to your session.

If you've booked a one-hour senior portrait session, you'll have the opportunity to change outfits during the session, allowing us to create a variety of looks and images that reflect different aspects of your personality and interests.

Once your session is booked, I'll be happy to offer clothing suggestions and help you plan outfits that photograph beautifully and help tell your story.

Can parents, siblings, and pets be included?

Absolutely! If you've booked a one-hour senior portrait session, parents, siblings, and well-behaved pets can be included for a portion of the session. You can also add on a family session for an additional $50 for up to six family members. This is a great option if you'd like portraits with siblings, parents, or everyone together.

I typically photograph parents, siblings, and pets at the beginning or end of the session so we can create a few portraits together before focusing on you.

What happens if it rains?

If it rains on the day of your session, we'll simply reschedule for another day that works well for both of our schedules. If the weather is unusually hot, cold, windy, or otherwise uncomfortable, I may also recommend rescheduling.

My goal is for you to enjoy your session, feel comfortable in front of the camera, and look your best. A little flexibility with the weather helps ensure we create senior portraits you'll love for years to come.

What if I'm sick the day of my session?

If you're feeling sick on the day of your session, please contact me as soon as possible and we'll reschedule for another day. Senior portraits are always best when you're feeling healthy, comfortable, and ready to enjoy the experience.

I also recommend avoiding excessive sun exposure in the days leading up to your session. Sunburns, peeling skin, and tan lines can affect the final look of your portraits, so don't forget the sunscreen!

When will I see my images?

Your images will be ready to view in a private online gallery approximately 14–17 days after your session. From there, you’ll be able to select your favorites and place your order.
