Maternity Photography Session Options
We offer two session types to best fit your needs and style preferences:

Standard Maternity Session – Includes your session time only, allowing you to select and purchase your favorite prints, wall art, albums, and digital images separately after viewing your gallery.

Digital Maternity Session – An all-inclusive option that includes your session fee plus a set number of high-resolution digital files, with a special discount on any additional prints or products you choose to order.
Sessions can be booked as a 30-minute mini session or a full one-hour session, depending on how much variety and location coverage you’d like for your portraits.
When to Schedule Your Maternity Session
The ideal time for maternity photos is between 30–34 weeks of pregnancy, when your baby bump has a beautiful, round shape and you’re still comfortable enough to move freely during your session. We recommend reserving your session early in your second trimester to ensure availability during this special window of time.
Every pregnancy is unique, and we’ll work with you to plan a session that feels relaxed, flattering, and perfectly tailored to you.
Studio and On-Location Options
Maternity portraits can take place in our Sudbury, MA portrait studio, featuring professional lighting and a curated selection of complimentary maternity gowns for clients to wear during their session. We also offer outdoor on-location maternity sessions throughout MetroWest Boston, allowing for beautiful natural light portraits in scenic settings.

MINI MATERNITY STUDIO SESSION

Maternity Photography Session Information – Paula Swift Photography | Sudbury, MA

Booking Your Maternity Session
To reserve your maternity photography session date, a 50% retainer of the session fee is required at the time of booking. This guarantees your spot on our calendar during your ideal timeframe (typically 30–34 weeks of pregnancy).
We accept all major credit cards, checks, and cash for your convenience. The remaining balance is due immediately following your session.
Viewing Your Images
Within two weeks of your session, you’ll receive a private online slideshow (full hour sessions only) and ordering gallery featuring 40–50 beautifully edited images in both color and black & white.
You may also schedule an in-studio ordering appointment to view your images in person and choose your favorite portraits. Many of our clients travel from Framingham, Wellesley, Weston, Wayland, and throughout MetroWest Boston, so our online gallery option is perfect for taking your time to select images from the comfort of home. Grandparents and extended family can also access the gallery to place their own orders easily.
Placing Your Order
We kindly ask that all orders be placed within 14 days (2 weeks) of your gallery being posted to ensure timely processing. Once your order and payment are received, your finished products will be ready within 7 days to 4 weeks, depending on your selections. Detailed instructions for viewing and ordering will be included with your gallery.

At Paula Swift Photography, we want every client to have an enjoyable, stress-free experience and receive beautiful, heirloom-quality portraits to treasure for years to come. Below are our studio policies to help guide you through the process and ensure the best possible session outcome.
1️⃣ Minimum Portrait Investment
There is a minimum portrait investment requirement for all portrait sessions (excluding digital-only sessions). This ensures that every session results in high-quality printed products or digital images designed to be cherished for generations.
2️⃣ Payment Policy

Full payment is due upon placing your order.

We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, checks, and cash for your convenience.

Session fees cover the photographer’s time, talent, and expertise during your session and do not apply toward your final order.
3️⃣ Photography During Sessions
I love when families are excited about their session! Quick behind-the-scenes snaps are welcome, but please keep it brief and avoid stepping in front of my camera while I’m shooting.
This helps to keep the session flowing naturally and ensures I can capture the best moments for you.
4️⃣ Session Details

Each standard portrait session includes up to one hour of photography time (unless otherwise specified).

Sessions include an unlimited number of poses and images to give you a wide variety to choose from.

You’ll receive 40–50 proofs from a full session or around 25 proofs from a mini session, presented via a private online slideshow with music approximately 14–17 days after your session.

Every image is professionally color balanced and retouched for minor blemish removal.
5️⃣ Ordering Timeline & Image Storage

Orders must be placed within 14 days (2 weeks) of your online proof gallery being posted.

Sessions with no orders placed within 30 days will be deleted from our system.

Only ordered images are kept on file for up to one year. After that time, files are archived with no guaranteed retrieval.

Orders can be placed online or by scheduling an in-studio ordering appointment within your 14-day ordering period.
6️⃣ Copyright & Image Usage
Paula Swift Photography, Inc. retains full copyright on all images. Scanning, copying, screenshotting, or downloading images without purchase is strictly prohibited and illegal.
Digital files are available for purchase for personal use only. Thank you for respecting our artistry and the livelihood of our family business.
