118th boston marathon | framingham photographer

For the past few years my family would head up to 135 and watch the Boston Marathon as it ran through Framingham around mile 5.5.  This year was even more special, we knew we had to be back there to give support to all the runners. We could hear the cheering at least a 1/2 mile away as we parked our car and a DJ played music as fans would chant “Boston Strong” every few minutes. The streets were lined with fans young and old as they held signs that said “Boston Strong” and  “Boston Loves You”.   It was amazing not only to be cheering on these amazing runners and familiar faces, but to see how much love there was for Boston and its runners.  I love hearing that a million people lined the streets from Hopkinton to Boston as 36,000 runners embarked on their run in the 118th running of the Boston Marathon. We stayed as the last of the runners made their way down 135 towards natick and watched as the volunteers began to rake the streets of the crushed cups of water

Congratulations to all who ran yesterday…you are my Heros!

Below is a slideshow with photos and video clips from the 118th Boston Marathon  in Framingham along with a collage of images.
