Another amazing cooperative big sister came into the studio this summer to be photographed with her new baby brother. She was so adorable, and surprised me with her cuddles and kisses with him. I first met this little girl and her family last year when she was 7 months old. You can see that session HERE . I loved seeing how much she had grown in the past year and still cute as ever. What a gorgeous warm summer day it was when I photographed this new baby girl who arrived a little early on her mommy and daddy. I first met her parents for their maternity session earlier this spring. VIEW SESSION HERE . She was so sleepy once we headed outside into their unique backyard. I just loved the rocks they had in their yard and it added such a natural look to their outdoor newborn session. We also took portraits in her beautiful nursery where I was able to create my signature silhouettes by the butterfly curtains they had hanging in her room. The Baby Boom continues at Paula Swift Photography…this very sweet new baby came into the studio with his adorable parents recently.  I just loved all the sleepy smiles as he fell into his deep baby slumber. It almost looked like he was laughing at times.  I just love capturing all these new and special moments of families in the Boston area. What a sweet, sweet baby this little girl was to photograph in my Framingham photo studio. She gave us few smirks as she fell asleep and was so easy to photograph in those sleepy newborn poses. Her parents were wonderful to photograph as well, so relaxed throughout the session. I loved dad’s tattoos and took advantage of documenting them in dramatic studio lighting with his new baby girl. I could photograph new babies and their families all day long. Its just wonderful to have the opportunity to capture them this young, because as we know they change and grow so fast. One of the sweetest and sleepiest newborns I had yet to photograph. She was like “putty” during the beginning of her session. Mom was a great assistant to help with some posing as she slept…thank you again.  I was so excited as I photographed their new family, it was hard not to show it. Thank you again to mom and dad for being so relaxed during the session.

When I have the opportunity to photograph new babies under 2 weeks old I usually know the session is going to go really well. The younger the sleepier they tend to be and the easier the session is on everyone.  So if you are thinking about a newborn session remember to contact me while you are pregnant to get on my calendar. I know babies have their own arrival time ( been there 3 times myself) so its  lose date that will probably be moved around  on after your new baby arrives. However this guarantees that you can get on my calendar and not have to wait.

 I love when I get to photograph new babies just days old.  She was so sweet and her big sister was so cute with her, giving kisses and trying to hold her hand. I photographed the big sister when she was a few weeks old herself back in 2007. Its always amazing to see how much my little clients change in such a short time.  I traveled to their home where we were able to do a a studio set-up session and even head outside for some”  baby in the basket woods” shots.  Here are some favorites from their session…

I feel so lucky to have the opportunity to photograph all these new lives that have been born recently. Another beautiful baby girl just a few weeks old: she was so cute and cuddly during her session, and this yawn is so contagious.  Mom had the best window decor and they were perfect for the session as natural backdrops.  I think 2009 is going to be the year of the girl. My tally is  7-1, girls in favor for all the new babies I have photographed as March. Here are some favorites from the session…

A new family with their 2 week old…who was bright-eyed pretty much during the whole portrait session. I don’t think she wanted to sleep through her first “photo shoot”. She was beautiful and I was able to capture those unique moments between new parents and their first child. I loved the sunroom we used for a few natural light portraits. The wood in there was great to use as a backdrop. Here are some favorites…including my favorite shot of her “piggies”.
