Welcome to my Photography Blog!

This is where you can get a taste of my photography style while getting peeks into sessions that are currently being produced in the studio and around Massachusetts. This does not replace my website. A little background on me; I was staff photojournalist at the Worcester Telegram and Gazette in Worcester, Mass. from 1995-2005. I started my photography business in 2004 and opened my photography studio in 2006. I hold two College degrees in photography as well many awards in photojournalism and portrait photography. My photography specialties include, maternity portraits, newborn photography, baby photos, children lifestyle photography, family portraiture, couples photography, high school senior portraits and sports photography. Paula Swift Photography, Inc. studio is located in Framingham, Mass. and I travel throughout New England for on location portraits and beach sessions.

I am a proud member of the Professional Photographers Association of Massachusetts where I am a board member at large and a member Professional Photographers of America. I feel its important to keep update on the ever changing field of photography and continue to educate my talent and skills through these professional memberships.

Plan ahead now if you would like to have a sunset beach session of your children and family. Beach sessions are one of my favorites where children are happy, carefree and parents enjoy my stress-free approach to beach portraits. In previous years these sessions were booked by the middle to end of June, so don’t wait until July.

Another wonderful summer night for a beach session up in Maine. Their family had welcomed a second daughter late spring, so it was wonderful to be able to capture their new family in beach session. Their oldest daughter was so much fun to photograph as she kept me and my lenses chasing after each wonder she would discover during the session. Her baby sister took a little nap in one of my baskets on the boardwalk leading to the beach… it was just beautiful and it was even more beautiful when her big sister would come running down to check on her…awwww. Another gorgeous night for a beach session in Wells Beach Maine on Drakes Island. It was wonderful seeing this family again, the last time I saw them their baby girl was still growing in her mommy’s belly. She is just beautiful and so much fun to photograph. Her curls and big brown eyes were a photographer’s dream to capture. I can still hear her giggles as her parents sang her a very funny song. My last “official” summer session. Even though summer isn’t truly over it was my last beach session up in Maine…so to me summer is over. The night was just beautiful, the weather was perfect for this family’s portraits. The children made me laugh as they ran to and from my camera screaming and laughing; if I only had audio for those shots. ; )
