Its been a wonderful and busy summer so far with lots of new babies and big sister/brothers that born!  I first met this adorable two year old last year when she came in for a studio session for her one year portraits. She was just so sweet with her new baby sister giving her kisses and flowers when we headed outside for the outdoor portion of the their newborn session.  I just loved the variety of images I was able to capture of  this growing family in my studio and outdoors. What a beautiful session this was for this new mom and dad with their precious 10 day old baby girl.  They had gorgeous natural light coming into their unique Boston home for their in home newborn session. We were able to utilize my portable studio lights as well as the light coming in from their windows.  Their beautiful baby girl slept so well for those baby poses with hats and even offered some very cute wide-eyed portraits.  I loved being able to include their home decor in their family portraits. Another beautiful baby boy was born recently to a very adorable couple.  He was just about a week old when he came into my studio for his first official photo shoot.  He was just perfect to photograph…slept “like a baby” and even gave us some of those “sleepy smiles”.  I just loved the teddy bear outfit he came in, so I photographed him in that first..he was so cozy and oh so cute!  Here are some favorites from his Framingham studio newborn session…

This little 5 week old baby would of be a few days old if he had arrived on his due date, but he surprised his family by coming 5 weeks early. I just loved the ideas this family had for their session. They brought some of their culture into the session, beads and fabric from Togo and a Japanese screen..which offered such a wonderful touch to their son’s newborn photography portraits. His grandparents were even here from Togo to join in for some portraits. Babies grow so fast so it was great they were able to be part of his first photo shoot. Okay maybe its my studio …but I have had the happiest and sleepiest babies in my studio this spring and summer. I bet its the hot and humid weather but whatever it is … I’l take it. This little girl came in and smiled right away and then clonked out on us with in minutes. Its a very unique studio baby session to have a 4 month old who will pose like she is a 2 week old. I seized the moment to see if she would go for it and she did. She even smiled when her mom leaned over to give her a kiss while she slept. The weather cooperated for us too, so we could go outside and shoot some beautiful family portraits as well. This family is only in the states for a short time, so it was amazing to capture the love for their little girl and family for them before they head home. The baby boom continues at Paula Swift Photography…not sure what happened 9-10 months ago, but the Boston area is booming with new babies. Its been so much fun meeting all these new families. This little girl was one of the smiliest ( is that a word?) ones I have photographed yet. So adorable and with every deep breath of sleep she would smile. Love it!!! What a sweet little boy this lil guy was. Even at 13 days old I could sense his sweet personality.  I provided an in home newborn session for this Boston family. They had a beautiful back yard that offered some nice outdoor portraits and even got his big brother ( Mr. Franklin)  to sit long enough for a few shots. Whenever possible I like to include pets in family portraits, they are big member of the family and usually a couple’s first child.   I just loved  their new son’s contagious yawns and little poses he offered us. When mom and dad came into the studio a bit stressed about how they had been dealing with reflux with their new baby girl..I totally knew what they had been through. We had it with our first son. So I was prepared for the eruptions and the crying…burp clothes galore were ready for any of those unexpected moments. This beautiful baby girl… proved us all wrong. She was so sweet, sleepy and cuddly. We were all amazed and thankful. It was one of those sessions where I said ahhhhhh in my head as I was shooting. I hope she is doing better now..reflux is no fun for baby and family. Here are some beautiful images of this sweet baby girl.

This little boy was just full of smiles and very cute expressions. He was like the energizer bunny with all the smiles he kept of giving me. His family came in for a photography session for Grandpa’s birthday.  Here are some favorites…

Baby Bono has arrived….the nickname mom and dad gave him when he was still in mom’s tummy. I met this couple a few months back in studio for their maternity session. A very sweet boy who was giving his very patient mom and dad a hard time during his shoot…but you would never know it in these portraits. He looks so peaceful and sleepy…it took sometime to get these portraits…but well worth it. Congratulations on your beautiful son!
