This beautiful baby girl arrived just over 5 weeks early and  before we had a chance to do mom’s maternity session.  She was such a little peanut and so cuddly!  I met these adorable parents at their Boston area home for their daughter’s newborn session. It was a very humid and warm August day, which is perfect for those sleepy newborn portraits outdoors. Happy New Year…its hard to believe 2012 is already here! 2011 was one of our busiest years yet and to showcase favorites from each session we decided to make best of photography collages. I had so much fun going through each session and picking out images, so many fun and exciting memories came flooding back. From expectant parents excited to meet their new baby(s), to watching all those new babies yawn and sleep during their sessions, sharing laughs and giggles with kids on the go, with a few bribes here and there to get them to cooperate, to enjoying warm sandy nights on the beach, playing in the leaves with families and capturing high school seniors in the beautiful light in the fall. Thank you everyone who I met and photographed in 2011 and I look forward to seeing you in 2012.

Baby number three has arrived for this adorable family! Big sister, 2.5 and brother, 1.5 were so sweet and loving with their new baby sister. I just love every image I was able to capture of these three. I couldn’t believe how cooperative everyone was..maybe its because I have been photographing everyone since mom was pregnant with her oldest 3 years ago..wow time has flown. What a gorgeous warm summer day it was when I photographed this new baby girl who arrived a little early on her mommy and daddy. I first met her parents for their maternity session earlier this spring. VIEW SESSION HERE . She was so sleepy once we headed outside into their unique backyard. I just loved the rocks they had in their yard and it added such a natural look to their outdoor newborn session. We also took portraits in her beautiful nursery where I was able to create my signature silhouettes by the butterfly curtains they had hanging in her room. What a beautiful baby boy this 5 week old boy was.  Even though his cat naps were quick, we were  able to capture an amazing variety of images of this blue-eyed baby boy.  His great grandmother was and I loved being able to capture them together…they were just sweet together as she talked to him and he gazed up at her.  He even held her hand tightly…loved being able to photograph them together!  I used a variety of studio and natural light during this session and was able to photograph him in his beautiful nursery and even got a little smile from him as he sat up ( with dad’s assistance ) on their couch at the very end of the session.  Here are some favorites from their Worcester Baby Photography Session in their home …

I hope the title says its all. This famous Bear baby – his name is Barrett but his family call him Bear..how fitting, I  photographed January 2010 and was featured the cover of baystateparent magazine turned one this past January and also won Gold at a national parenting publications competition for cover photography and design.

I was away in Chicago this past week to surprise and celebrate one my sisters for her birthday when I got a message on my facebook business page from the Editor of baystateparent. I was so surprised and thrilled to have one of my images featured on the cover for their Gold winner at the Parenting Publications of America annual editorial and design competition. Bear was just about 2 weeks old when I photographed him in this adorable bear hat which was chosen to be on the cover for their Baby Gaga March 2010 baby issue.   He was so snuggly and sweet during his session ; this is still one of my favorite newborn photographs.  Those of you who have visited my studio will recognize this image that is hanging huge on my wall.

Fast forward to this January and Bear turned One!  Boy has he changed…he is such a big boy and almost looks like his big sister twin.  He is still as cute as can be.  Here is the cover from last March 2010 and here are some recent photographs from his in home session with his big sister Alex who is now 2.  A little birdie has told me that Bear and Alex will become big a brother and sister this summer.  Stay tuned to meet their new baby later this summer.

What a beautiful session this was for this new mom and dad with their precious 10 day old baby girl.  They had gorgeous natural light coming into their unique Boston home for their in home newborn session. We were able to utilize my portable studio lights as well as the light coming in from their windows.  Their beautiful baby girl slept so well for those baby poses with hats and even offered some very cute wide-eyed portraits.  I loved being able to include their home decor in their family portraits. Just 6 days old this little sweetie was when I had the opportunity to photograph him with one of his big sisters in their Boston area home.  He was so squishy, sleepy and loveable.  His big sister has the cutest personality and was so proud of her little brother. I just love being able to capture a new family from the very beginning. Their new baby girl was just amazing during her session too…so sleepy and easy to pose in my favorite baby hats. She just about 2 weeks old when I met her though she did come early, so that helped with all the sleepiness that happened during their in home newborn session. What a fun session this was with this adorable family with four children which includes a set of boy twins. Mom and Dad were so relaxed during the session as their children smiled, laughed, sneaked hugs and kisses while being a bit shy in between.
