Boston Child & Family Photographer | Wakefield Photographer MA

It was so nice seeing this little girl again for an outdoor session. I photographed her and mom last December in the studio when she was 6 months old. Now one years old and on the go, go, go, go. It was a fun session watching and chasing her with my cameras as she discovered her family’s home and a local lake. Mom and dad were great with following my lead and keeping her entertained while I clicked away. Here are some favorites from their outdoor family and child photography session …

Fun-Filled Beach Session | MA Beach Photographer | Twins Photographer

I have been photographing these 3.5 year old twins and their family every year since they were 6 months old! You can view that session HERE I have just loved seeing them and how much they have grown into their little selves. Mom even had the same blanket I photographed them on when they were 6 months old to use for this session. We met this year at a north shore beach for their family’s photography session. The sun played some games with us but the session still went beautifully and I just love all the fun images I captured of their family. Here are some favorites from their family and children beach photography session …

Boston Newborn Photographer | Framingham Studio| Little Mohawk & Angels

Who can’t resist a little boy in a mohawk and then add some angel wings? Absolutely loved that mom wanted to do a little ‘hawk on her 4 week old son…and he wore it so well. She also brought in angel wings for her newborn son and 5 year old daughter to wear for their photo session. So sweet and I loved the tender moments the two siblings shared ( with a little coaxing from mom, grandmom and dad) during the shoot. Though it didn’t take much for big sister to hug and kiss her little brother. The dramatic lighting on the black backdrop added a very special touch to their family portraits as well. Another great newborn and family session in my Framingham studio. Here are some favorites …

Newborn Photographer Boston | Smiley New Baby | Boston Newborn Photographer

The baby boom continues at Paula Swift Photography…not sure what happened 9-10 months ago, but the Boston area is booming with new babies. I have been blessed to have the opportunity to photograph many new babies this spring and early summer. This little girl was one of the smiliest ones I have photographed yet. So adorable and with every deep breath of sleep she would smile. Love it!!! Mom brought some of her cute hats in that went perfectly with their session. Here are some favorites from their studio newborn photography session. Remember if you are looking for those sleepy newborn poses its best to book while you are pregnant so your precious new baby can be photographed under 2 weeks of age. The older they are the harder they are to photograph asleep.

Professional Photographers of America International Print Competition Awards

Very exciting news here at Paula Swift Photography!  I recently found out 2 of my images were accepted and awarded at the Professional Photographers of America (PPA) International Photographic Competition.  ”Roots and Wings” 9was selected to be in the PPA’s Loan Collection where it will travel around the country on display with other Loan prints. This is what PPA and its members consider “the best of the best”. “The Journey”  was selected into the General Collection where it will be on display at the annual convention next January in Texas. Both of these prints won big in 2009 at our state PPAM convention and then were awarded seals at the regional level PPANE last fall. So I entered them at the big International Competition and was so surprised one of them went Loan!  Did I mention this was my first time entering PPA’s competition???  Thank you for letting me share this amazing news with you. Stay tuned for many featured sessions to be blogged soon!

Here are the award winning prints…
