What an amazing session we had with this sweet little 7 month old. She was like the energizer bunny with her cute smiles and laughter. Mom had brought in some beautiful dresses and a tutu and we used some of my new hats I had just gotten for older babies. I just loved how she reacted while she sat next to the teddy bears while wearing a teddy bear hat…makes me smile. The weather was nice enough to take advantage of going out to the local park for some outdoor family and child portraits. What a gorgeous night it was on the Cape for this family. We met the Bars Inn in Chatham for their session. It was such a fun session and great to see how much their children had grown since their last session earlier this spring. Their daughter had turn one just a few weeks earlier and their son 3 in April ( on my birthday ). I loved when I arrived and he had his dad’s camera ready to go and said ” watch this Paula Swift” and snapped my photo. Ummmm and this 3 yr old has a pretty good eye too. Might have to have him as an assistant when he is a few years older. Always an amazing session with this family. I am sure you will recognize them throughout my website and blog. Who can’t resist a little boy in a mohawk and then add some angel wings? Absolutely loved that mom wanted to do a little ‘hawk on her 4 week old son…and he wore it so well. She also brought in angel wings for her newborn son and 5 year old daughter to wear for their photo session. So sweet and I loved the tender moments the two siblings shared ( with a little coaxing from mom, grandmom and dad) during the shoot. Though it didn’t take much for big sister to hug and kiss her little brother. The dramatic lighting on the black backdrop added a very special touch to their family portraits as well. Another great newborn and family session in my Framingham studio. Here are some favorites …

Okay maybe its my studio …but I have had the happiest and sleepiest babies in my studio this spring and summer. This little girl came in and smiled right away and then clonked out on us with in minutes. Its a very unique studio baby session to have a 4 month old who will pose like she is a 2 week old. I seized the moment to see if she would go for it and she did. Even smiled when her mom leaned over to give her a kiss while she slept. The weather cooperated for us too so we could go outside and shoot some beautiful family portraits as well. This family is only in the states for a short time so it was amazing to capture their little girl and family for them before they head home. The baby boom continues at Paula Swift Photography…not sure what happened 9-10 months ago, but the Boston area is booming with new babies. I have been blessed to have the opportunity to photograph many new babies this spring and early summer. This little girl was one of the smiliest ones I have photographed yet. So adorable and with every deep breath of sleep she would smile. Love it!!! Mom brought some of her cute hats in that went perfectly with their session. Here are some favorites from their studio newborn photography session. Remember if you are looking for those sleepy newborn poses its best to book while you are pregnant so your precious new baby can be photographed under 2 weeks of age. The older they are the harder they are to photograph asleep.
