Another beautiful sleepy newborn came into the studio to be photographed. This little girl was so sweet and as they say “slept like a baby” for her most of her session. Mom and Dad were great and so relaxed during their newborn photography session. I just loved their daughter in all the little hats she let me put on her tiny little head. I am a bit baby hat obsessed and she just slept away as I placed each one on her head. Yes, these are all my studio baby hats and I keep on adding to my collection. What a great session we had on a warm August evening. It was so nice to see this family again and see how much their twins had grown since our last session in 2008. I first met them when they were 15 months old and now they are 4.5 yrs old with very sweet personalities. What an amazing session we had with this sweet little 7 month old. She was like the energizer bunny with her cute smiles and laughter. Mom had brought in some beautiful dresses and a tutu and we used some of my new hats I had just gotten for older babies. I just loved how she reacted while she sat next to the teddy bears while wearing a teddy bear hat…makes me smile. The weather was nice enough to take advantage of going out to the local park for some outdoor family and child portraits. It was so nice seeing this little girl again for an outdoor session. I photographed her and mom last December in the studio when she was 6 months old. Now one years old and on the go, go, go, go. It was a fun session watching and chasing her with my cameras as she discovered her family’s home and a local lake. What a gorgeous night it was for this beautiful senior! It was great to start my senior portrait season after a busy summer of babies. She was so great to work with and relaxed. This little 5 week old baby would of be a few days old if he had arrived on his due date. He surprised his family by coming 5 weeks early. I just loved the ideas this family had for their session. They brought some of their culture into the session, beads and fabric from Togo and a Japanese screen..they just offered such a wonderful touch to their son’s portraits. His grandparents were even here from Togo to join in for some portraits. Babies grow so fast so it was great they were able to be part of his first photo shoot.
