This little girl was so sweet and I just love her wide-eyed expressions. It was so nice to meet that little baby that was growing in her mommy’s tummy for their in home newborn session. We used a natural setting in their home using my portable studio lighting and perfect natural light coming in from their windows. Very exciting news here at Paula Swift Photography!  I recently found out 2 of my images were accepted and awarded at the Professional Photographers of America (PPA) International Photographic Competition.  ”Roots and Wings” 9was selected to be in the PPA’s Loan Collection where it will travel around the country on display with other Loan prints. This is what PPA and its members consider “the best of the best”. “The Journey”  was selected into the General Collection where it will be on display at the annual convention next January in Texas. Both of these prints won big in 2009 at our state PPAM convention and then were awarded seals at the regional level PPANE last fall. So I entered them at the big International Competition and was so surprised one of them went Loan!  Did I mention this was my first time entering PPA’s competition???  Thank you for letting me share this amazing news with you. I was so excited when I heard from these moms that they were expecting baby #2. Just a little more than 2 years after their first was born they will be welcoming a new baby. Miss E. is going to make the best big sister. She was so much fun to photograph, on the go in studio and at a local park. But not faster than my cameras and lenses. She is one of the happiest two year olds I have met. Looking forward to meeting their new baby very soon. Here are some favorites from their maternity and Miss E’s two year old portrait session.

It was so nice photographing this beautiful mommy-to-be and her husband. They are expecting their first baby…a little girl in June. I love how relaxed they were during the session. We took advantage of the studio light and the natural light that my studio loft warehouse windows offer. I am very fortunate to have nice light that comes in to my windows.
