What an amazing session we had with this sweet little 7 month old. She was like the energizer bunny with her cute smiles and laughter. Mom had brought in some beautiful dresses and a tutu and we used some of my new hats I had just gotten for older babies. I just loved how she reacted while she sat next to the teddy bears while wearing a teddy bear hat…makes me smile. The weather was nice enough to take advantage of going out to the local park for some outdoor family and child portraits. It was so nice seeing this little girl again for an outdoor session. I photographed her and mom last December in the studio when she was 6 months old. Now one years old and on the go, go, go, go. It was a fun session watching and chasing her with my cameras as she discovered her family’s home and a local lake. This little 5 week old baby would of be a few days old if he had arrived on his due date. He surprised his family by coming 5 weeks early. I just loved the ideas this family had for their session. They brought some of their culture into the session, beads and fabric from Togo and a Japanese screen..they just offered such a wonderful touch to their son’s portraits. His grandparents were even here from Togo to join in for some portraits. Babies grow so fast so it was great they were able to be part of his first photo shoot. This little girl was so sweet and I just love her wide-eyed expressions. It was so nice to meet that little baby that was growing in her mommy’s tummy for their in home newborn session. Here is a link to their in studio maternity session Even big sister joined in for some portraits. I love including all members of the family in my sessions. We used a natural setting in their home using my portable studio lighting and perfect natural light coming in from their windows. I have been photographing these 3.5 year old twins and their family every year since they were 6 months old! You can view that session HERE I have just loved seeing them and how much they have grown into their little selves. Mom even had the same blanket I photographed them on when they were 6 months old to use for this session. We met this year at a north shore beach for their family’s photography session. The sun played some games with us but the session still went beautifully and I just love all the fun images I captured of their family. Who can’t resist a little boy in a mohawk and then add some angel wings? Absolutely loved that mom wanted to do a little ‘hawk on her 4 week old son…and he wore it so well. She also brought in angel wings for her newborn son and 5 year old daughter to wear for their photo session. So sweet and I loved the tender moments the two siblings shared ( with a little coaxing from mom, grandmom and dad) during the shoot. Though it didn’t take much for big sister to hug and kiss her little brother. The dramatic lighting on the black backdrop added a very special touch to their family portraits as well. Another great newborn and family session in my Framingham studio. Here are some favorites …
