I was so excited when I heard from these moms that they were expecting baby #2. Just a little more than 2 years after their first was born, they will be welcoming a new baby. Miss E. is going to make the best big sister. She was so much fun to photograph … on the go in studio and at a local park, but not faster than my cameras and lenses. She is one of the happiest two year olds I have met. Looking forward to meeting their new baby very soon. Here are some favorites from their maternity and Miss E’s two year old portrait session.

Plan ahead now if you would like to have a sunset beach session of your children and family. Beach sessions are one of my favorites where children are happy, carefree and parents enjoy my stress-free approach to beach portraits. In previous years these sessions were booked by the middle to end of June, so don’t wait until July.

It was sweet dreams for this baby boy ..but it took a little work to get him there. He was so precious with his little smiles as his fell into his deep sleep. He was a little older than my usual newborn sessions but after all his fighting of sleep, he was out long enough to capture him in those cute hats and poses. We even laid him safely into his dresser drawer where he smiled away with his teddy bear. We were able to use my portable studio lighting and beautiful natural light they had coming in from their windows for his first official photo shoot. I had so much fun photographing talented children’s author Jaqueline Davies. We started in the studio first and then headed to a local park to capture her in a variety of relaxed and natural poses. She was a natural and just followed my lead. It was a change of pace from my recent flow of newborns and children sessions. Here are some favorites from her shoot…

What an amazing newborn session with a big sister and her new little brother. This little girl just loved her little brother so much…it was adorable! We started the session doing family portraits in their home with my studio lights and then headed outside to capture the new siblings and family together. They had a beautiful area with a piano that had streams of sunlight coming in for natural light portraits. A nice shaded yard was a perfect backdrop to capture their children together as well. The new little guy had the sweetest expressions, yawns, smiles and even a little frown. I just love sessions like these, you never know how the older child is going to act when a new sibling arrives and its wonderful when they are so in love with their new little playmate . Spring is in the air…well with this past few weeks of beautiful weather its felt more like summer. I think we are making up for last year’s rainy weather, thankfully. I headed up to the north shore to photograph this gorgeous family and their two beautiful baby girls. We started photographing their 6 month old daughter in their living room and capturing her baby blue eyes and very sweet smiles. Then we headed outside to do some sibling shots..okay so her big sister is a dog. We all know that pets are a big part of families so it was great that she cooperated. Her big doggie sister was so cute with her and even snuck in a kiss during the shoot. As we ended the session we headed over to a local farm; it added such a picturesque landscape. That location was a perfect ending to their session. Here are some favorites…

It was so nice photographing this beautiful mommy-to-be and her husband. They are expecting their first baby…girl in June. I love how relaxed they were during the session. We took advantage of my dramatic studio light and the natural light that my studio loft windows offer. I am very fortunate to have nice light that comes in to my windows. I can’t wait to meet their little girl for her newborn session in June. Happy Mother’s Day to all those moms-to-be and new mommies! Here are some favorites from their maternity session…

I think there may be a baby boom in the Boston area. I have been photographing so many new babies over the past month with many more to come. What a great career I have..I just love meeting all these new lives.

First up a featured session about a new beautiful baby girl to add to this cute family, this makes four kids for them. I met this family a few years ago when their youngest son was just 4 months old you can peek at that session HERE . I loved seeing how much their children had grown since the last time I had seen them. It was another a fun session and their new daughter was just perfect to photograph.
